A flexible Vendor Managed Inventory concept (VMI) allows Edelmann to independently organise the desired products to be supplied to the customer. An individually agreed set of guidelines serve as the basis for the implementation of VMI. This saves customers costs for material procurement and scheduling. Order and delivery processes are streamlined, quicker and more reliable and help to reduce inventories. This results in increased transparency for all partners involved and helps save costs.

The use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) gives customers and suppliers access to the same information and delivery is Just in Time (JIT). Edelmann also offers comprehensive consulting on the integration of customer and supplier systems as part of supply chain management.

Word has also continued to spread about the renowned Edelmann SAP workshops available to customers and suppliers for consulting in relation to SAP implementation projects.
